Americas Comprovisers Exchange Network
On my travels in Mexico from June 23rd - July 19th I had many conversations with many people: Musicians, administrators, government officials. Some of my ideas began to take shape as I found much interest and inspirations for this kind of an exchange to happen. Following is a brief description of what this will look like in two parts and also in both out-line form and paragraph form.

a. A comprehensive database of musicians from both countries
b. An on-line forum for which will facilitate dialogue for all
c. A comprehensive database of entities including non-profit organizations, institutions, grants, festivals, record labels, recording studios, etc.
2. EstamosEnsemble
a. Perform the works of living composers from both countries as well as real-time improvisations
b. Four musicians from Mexico, four from U.S. who are handpicked by Thollem McDonas, 2010 artistic director
c. Revolving participants from one year to the next, including artistic director (each year exchanging country of origin)
d. The criteria of each musician being in three parts:
1. Individuals who are inspired by the spirit of the project and deeply see the need for this kind of collaboration and exchange
2. Individuals with experience performing 20th/21st century concert music
3. Individuals with long term experience in free improvisation
e. Musicians coming from different regions of both countries
f. Races and genders represented
g. Three-week tour in the U.S. and a three-week tour in Mexico

Objetivos de la asociación Intercambio de Comprovisadores - México/los E.E.U.U.:
1. Crear una lista de los compositores mexicanos, ejecutantes, improvisadores.
2. Recaudar los fondos con Outsound (organización no lucrativa del área de San Francisco Bay) para traer a músicos mexicanos a los E.E.U.U. para conciertos, talleres, y colaboraciones con los músicos establecidos en los Estados Unidos.
3. Detallar el proceso burocrático para los recorridos musicales entre México y los E.E.U.U.
4. Crear una red de lugares musicales (los centros culturales méxico-americanos, de los salones de conciertos, de los festivales etc.).
5. Crear una serie musical que presenta a músicos de México en la afiliación con el Consulado Mexicano y Outsound.
6. Levantar el perfil de la música vanguardia de México.
7. Facilitar relaciones más sanas entre los dos países.
